Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer

An extremely durable synthetic rubber roofing membrane, widely used in low-slope buildings. Its two primary ingredients, ethylene and propylene, are derived from oil and natural gas.

BUR

Built-Up Roofing

These roof systems are commonly referred to as “tar and gravel” roofs. BUR systems generally are composed of alternating layers of bitumen and reinforcing fabrics that create a finished membrane.

MOD BIT

Modified Bitumen

A standard SBS modified bitumen roof system is a two-ply system applied in rolls that overlap the edge of the previous roll and can be installed with the common torch method, asphalts, or cold adhesives.

PVC

Polyvinyl Chloride

A flexible, thermoplastic membrane manufactured using UV-resistant polyvinyl chloride; Ideal long-term solution for roofs that demand high performance at a lower life cycle cost. These membranes are reinforced with a low-wicking polyester fabric.

TPO

Thermoplastic Polyolefin

A single-ply roofing membrane that is among the fastest growing commercial roofing products and have gained broad industry acceptance for their many performance and installation advantages.
